In the world of social media, there are incredibly talented individuals who showcase their unique brands on easy-to-use platforms. They use, however, not-so-easy-to-use backgrounds, filters, cinematography, and their active imaginations to create specialized content. This kind of content creation has been growing ever since YouTube came into being, and it's becoming a big part of the entertainment world. It has also given many unknown people a chance to become known, locally and internationally. For the past 13 years, The Streamy Awards has been recognizing people for just being themselves in this digital space, and the momentum behind it keeps growing.
Social media platforms have more voices, more people, who enjoy and support content, and more playful and entertaining personalities. When I watched this event for the first time this year, I was captivated by the variety of perspectives and the incredibly diverse content. It feels fresh, new, full of energy, and perhaps even representative of what people really want to see and hear in entertainment.
